This wonderful tour provides spectacular mountain scenery, eight of the most beautiful lakes, dramatic mountain passes, a delightful waterfall and a visit to the pre-historic Castlerigg Stone Circle. We travel from Keswick to Ullswater and over Kirkstone Pass to Ambleside and returning via Castlerigg Stone Circle, Borrowdale and Buttermere back to Keswick. Photograph opportunities are provided throughout the tour.

 

Full day tour of the Northern lakes with Osprey viewing opportunityOsprey Watch

This tour provides an ideal opportunity to see the Lake District Ospreys during Mating Season with several vantage points close to the nest site on the west shore of Bassenthwaite Lake. The adult birds regularly search for fish and can be seen around both Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater. There is also a Video Link to the nest site at the Whinlatter Visitor Centre as well as a lay-by on the A66 adjacent the nest site and a viewing platform near the Mirehouse Tearooms on the east side of the lake.
